Where Am I in My Story?

Two women directors include their own families in the frame, dissolving the distinction between private and public spaces shaped by gender roles. The film focuses on the life stories of women from families living in two different cities. Despite the contrasts in urban environments, households, and socio-economic conditions, the film highlights both the similarities and differences in the women’s stories, as well as the roles they either embrace or resist. Furthermore, the documentary explores generational shifts within both families, centering on experiences of marriage, sexuality, and pregnancy.
