Take Our Photo

The camera/eye of the photographer, who revisits the Saraykapı neighborhood in Diyarbakır İçkale after many years, wanders between the overlapping layers of past and present. The photographer re-records the neighborhood, transformed by urban development, and searches for the faces and places she captured in photographs a decade ago. “Take Our Photo”, explores the relationship between what the image conveys in the present moment and the record of memory that is reconfigured each time, while taking us to the boundaries of photography as a tool for ‘remembering.’
