A visually poetic and political short documentary Seeds of Dignity chronicles the path taken by Buzuruna Juzuruna, a group of farmers and seed activists operating in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. They are resisting industrial agriculture and recovering the right to grow food outside the reach of global capitalism as they gather, duplicate, and distribute heirloom seeds to their network of farmers. Filmed against a background of conflict, economic collapse, and colonial legacies, it is a meditation on resistance, dignity, and the power of seeds to link generations, geographies, and aspirations for sovereignty.
