Between personal memories and historical research, a filmmaker, the daughter of a domestic worker, travels through the four Brazilian states that received the most slave labor. She reveals how housing spaces were designed to segregate bodies and maintain hierarchies. Along the way, she encounters women who confront this legacy and fight for their daughters to dream of other destinies. The film constructs an intimate and political portrait of how architecture in Brazil still bears the traces of slavery.
