Born in Giresun in 1971. He studied primary, secondary and high school in Istanbul. In 1993, he started working as an assistant at VTR Araştırma Yapım Yönetim Co., founded by Enis Rıza and Nalan Sakızlı. Until 2008, he worked on numerous documentaries, oral histories, promotional films and commercials. He worked as an assistant, cameraman and cinematographer in his films. Since 2008, he has been working independently as a cinematographer with different directors, mostly in documentary, fiction and commercial films.

Music studies started as early as 1979, in state conservatory as a violinist, followed by Musicology studies. Graduated from Alchemea College of Audio Engineering in London, UK.
Relocated to Turkey in 2001 and started as a sound designer and worked on post production of a vast variety of commercial, documentary, short and feature films and TV series.
Established mute.istanbul Foley Stage, being the first of its kind in Turkey, designed for foley in 2015. Freelance work since 2023, specializing in foley artistry, editing, and sound design.

Özlem Sarıyıldız, a documentary filmmaker, editor and visual artist, holds a BA in Industrial Design and an MS in Media and Cultural Studies from Middle East Technical University. Currently, she is the artistic co-director of the Hier&Jetzt:Connections Artist Residency Program in Berlin, and a member of the Film Editors' Society of Türkiye (KUDA). Using primarily audio-visual materials and focussing on gender, displacement, and the commons, her work uncovers the mechanisms underlying power dynamics and aligns with the determined voices seeking to reshape the course of history.
