From last year on DOCUMENTARIST has launched a special award titled "Documentarist New Talent Award".

The award worth 1000 Euro aims to encourage the new generations of Turkish documentary filmmakers and is given in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Istanbul. The films to be considered for the award are the 1st and 2nd films of the Turkish filmmakers presented in the Turkish section of the program. 

The 2nd Documentarist New Talent Award will be decided and given this year by a jury consisted of five distinguished members and it will be announced during an award ceremony on June 5th.
